Open Question: How long can a young fantailed goldfish live a healthy life in a temporary Eclipse System 3g?
I just adopted ONE fantail goldfish from a college friend who could no longer care for him/her (s/he was living in about a half gallon bowl…. she didn’t know about the misconceptions) 
I know that goldfish need min 10g per fish due to the high levels of ammonia they give off and the large size they grow to, but I had to do the best that I could keeping him in my own little dorm room for now.
