Open Question: Is this normal to feel with a newborn at home?

I had my first baby 17 days ago, and it seems like all I do is sit on the couch, try to breast-feed (trying to wean him off the formula supplements the hospital started him on due to low blood sugar levels), comfort him (he got a little cold a few days ago), and watch him sleep. A few times throughout the day while he sleeps, I try to nap as well, so that I can get up easier at night to tend to him so he doesn’t wake my husband….anyway, seriously, I’ve showered like 3 times since coming home from the hospital, my house is a mess, I haven’t done my hair or put on makeup except to go to his pediatrician appt…and I just feel out of sorts. I think my schedule (up all night, sleeping late, naps throughout the day, etc) is making me a little depressed, and the fact that I can’t seem to get much done…my husband IS a big help, and I wouldn’t have lasted this long without him, but regardless, I just feel like a couch potato! I’ve watched SOOOO much dang TV, I’m so sick of it! I guess I’m asking if this is normal, and what YOU did with your newborn when you first brought him/her home.
