Open Question: the NO PUNISHMENT method of parenting. I need answers…?

Just curious, an honest question to help me understand a POV. For those who are hard-core believers in the parenting method that omits punishment of any sort in place of natural consequences, (such as the kid throws a cup on the floor in anger there is no consequence other than him having to clean up the mess) To help me understand, What would you do in these 2 example scenarios: #1. Your son is at the playground and finds a big stick
